Biodiesel Process Equipment Biodiesel Manufacturing Biodiesel Producers / Biodiesel Producer

Orbitek CEO, Christian Fleisher, began working in the Biodiesel Technology industry in 1997 and was convinced that as demand for Renewable Fuels increased, so would demand for more efficient and cost effective means of production.

2000-2001: Christian joined forces with Cornell University’s Graduate School of Chemical Engineering and developed the patented process technology that forms the core of our CFTTM rapid reaction Biodiesel Production System.
2003: Initial process demonstration project, so small that it fit in a 5’x12’ trailer produced ASTM spec biodiesel at a rate
of 40 gallons per hour.
2004: Second process demonstration project began at Toad Hollow Farms in upstate New York is still producing biodiesel from waste vegetable oils at a rate of 80 gallons per hour.
2006: BPU400 prototype commercial unit fabricated and commissioned producing ASTM spec biodiesel at a rate of 4million gallons per year. It is currently operational in Tulsa, Oklahoma as an R&D project to test new feedstocks, catalysts, fuel additives and preprocessing methods.
2007: Twenty million gallon per year plant under contract with negotiations on going for market penetration in the Caribbean, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and additional North American sites.
